Copyright & DMCA Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Steel Guitar Radio respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users and partners to do the same. This policy explains how to report claimed copyright infringement.
Our Respect for Copyright
We broadcast music under applicable licenses and take copyright seriously. If you believe content on our site or stream infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and we will respond as required by law.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
To submit a takedown notice, provide a written communication to our designated agent (below) that includes all of the following required elements:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (such as a URL) for us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Designated Agent
Send copyright notices to our designated agent:
DMCA Agent, Steel Guitar Radio
Email: info@steelguitarradio.com
Mailing address: [DESIGNATED AGENT MAILING ADDRESS TO BE ADDED]
Placeholder—register a designated agent and confirm these details with counsel before launch.
Our Response
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and take reasonable steps to notify the affected party. We may terminate access for repeat infringers where appropriate.
Counter-Notification
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and to accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material as permitted by law unless the original complainant files a court action.
False Claims
Please note that under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing—or was removed by mistake—may be liable for damages.
