Monday afternoons belong to you. Send a dedication to someone special and we'll ring the dinner bell with a classic just for them. Requests aren't guaranteed to play immediately, but our hosts read every one.

Two-Step Tuesday
If you can't dance to it, we don't play it.
Every Tuesday afternoon we clear the floor for nothing but dance-hall shuffles, western swing, and boot-scootin' two-steppers—steel guitar, twin fiddles, and a rhythm section built for the honky-tonk.

Wayback Wednesday
Deep cuts, B-sides & forgotten jukebox gems.
Midweek we dig past the hits into the deep catalog—the album cuts, one-off singles, and criminally overlooked records that true country fans treasure. If you know these, you're one of us.

Throwback Thursday
One classic album, one full side.
Thursday afternoons we pull a landmark record off the shelf and play it like it was meant to be heard. A different classic country album spotlighted every week.

Freewheelin' Friday
Outlaw country & road songs to start the weekend.
We kick off the weekend with the rowdy side of the format—outlaw anthems, trucker songs, and road music. Roll the windows down and turn it up.

6 at 6
The 1960s, every evening at six.
We open the night in the 1960s—the Bakersfield boom, the Nashville Sound, and the first golden age of the pedal steel guitar. An hour of the foundational records everything after was built on.

70s at 7
Outlaws, countrypolitan & the golden age of steel.
Seven o'clock means the 1970s—the outlaw movement, lush countrypolitan ballads, and pedal steel at its most expressive. From Waylon and Willie to George Jones at the peak of his powers.

80s at 8
The neotraditional boom.
The 1980s brought country back to its roots—Strait, Skaggs, Randy Travis and the Judds put the fiddle and steel front and center again. The decade that made traditional country cool once more.

90s at 9
The hat acts & the class of '89.
Nine o'clock rolls back to the 1990s—the biggest era in country radio history. Anthemic two-steppers, powerhouse ballads, and the traditionalists who ruled the decade.

2K at 10
The 2000s traditionalists holding the line.
The 2000s block—the artists who kept real country on the radio as the format changed around them. Strait and Jackson still on top, with a new class carrying steel and story into a new century.

New at 11
The new traditionalists keeping it real.
The late shift belongs to right now—the independent and new-traditional artists proving country never had to leave the steel guitar behind. Zach Top, Jake Worthington, Emily Nenni and the class carrying the torch.

The Bakersfield Hour
Telecaster twang and California steel.
